- The ECG app and irregular heart rhythm notification are not intended for people under the age of 22 and require the latest version of watchOS and iOS. The ECG app is available on Apple Watch Series 4 or later (not including Apple Watch SE). The irregular heart rhythm notification is not intended for people who have previously been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation.
- All-day battery life is based on the following usage: 90 time checks, 90 notifications, 45 minutes of app use, and 60 minutes of workout with music streaming on Apple Watch via Bluetooth, over 18 hours; Apple Watch Series 8 (GPS) usage involves connecting to iPhone via Bluetooth for the entire 18-hour test; Apple Watch Series 8 (GPS + Cellular) usage involves a total of 4 hours of LTE and 14 hours of connection to iPhone via Bluetooth over 18 hours. Testing conducted by Apple in August 2022 using preproduction Apple Watch Series 8 (GPS) and Apple Watch Series 8 (GPS + Cellular) units, each paired with an iPhone. All units were tested using prerelease software. Battery life varies by usage, configuration, cellular network, signal strength, and many other factors. Actual results will vary.
